SCHEDULE OF 2008 PARADE PLANNING MEETINGS

Meetings are scheduled on dates below for affiliate reps to plan the 2008 Labor Day Parade. Meeting reports will be posted here.

Parade meetings will be held at the NYSUT Hall, 30 N. Union Street from 5:00 - 6:00 p.m. on the following dates:

  • Thursday, July 17 - agenda includes distribution of Parade posters, reviewing publicity plans, beginning to plan the order of units in the parade, beginning to identify marshals for the Parade and reviewing Parade assembly plans
  • Thursday, July 31 - we will complete recruitment of marshals, continue planning the parade order, and review publicity efforts
  • Thursday, August 21 - we will complete the Parade order, assign marshals, and review Parade Rules and Regulations
  • Thursday, August 28 - we will fine tune all parade arrangements, review marshal roles, distribute marshal tee shirts, and assign radios
